The Rhum Stop Restaurant concept was conceptualized in 2018 to provide a truly unique Bajan experience to both visitors and locals alike. The Rhum Stop specializes in rum-infused Bajan cuisine presented internationally. Our mission has been to highlight the beauty of rum as Barbados is credited with being the birthplace of RUM. Providing high-quality food experiences for all those that wish to have a unique and enjoyable ambiance with an extraordinary dining experience at Time Out Hotel in the food and entertainment district of St. Lawrence Gap.

The Rhum Stop is open 7 days a week from 7:30 until- serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Meet Chef Alfredo Batson


Executive Chef Alfredo Batson has been a Chef for the past 35 years having worked across major hotels and restaurants in Barbados such as Sandy Lane Hotel, Oceans Two Hotel, Seabreeze Hotel, Turtle Beach and Sandridge Hotel. His culinary education began at the Barbados Community College and subsequently at Bato's Snackette by his mom.

Having dreamed of becoming a Chef after his mother ignited his initial passion for cooking as child and, having spent many summers’ working in his mother’s restaurant; his persistence and dedication in culinary arts resulted in his vision to create a Barbadian themed restaurant of his own. He has operated and managed his own restaurant, building a strong brand and following for the past six (6) years.
